Last Friday, my wonderful work family threw us a baby shower. We had a great time and everyone was so generous. We were very lucky to have this shower because it was the "things you didn't know you needed but you do" type of shower given by Kristen, Stacey and Ellen. Of course, there were plenty of things that we hadn't even thought of so we were very grateful.
I have worked with most of the same people for the last eight years that I have been there. Some of the girls were even around to help me pick out clothes when Adam and I had a date. Some of the guys were there to give me advice too even though sometimes it was a little crazy. They've either stuck by me or put up with me, however they want to look at it, through almost all of my twenties. I should feel bad for them but I don't. :) They all know I love them and I'm so grateful to have my work family's support.
As for the pregnancy update, this week will be 33 weeks. I can't believe it's gone by this fast or slowly depending on which day you ask me. I had a doctor appointment last week and all is looking well. At eight months, I'm finally at the uncomfortable, can't sleep, my back hurts, my legs hurt stage which still beats the beginning by far so I can't complain too much. Next week, we have a sonogram scheduled just so they can check Madelyn out due to my low weight gain. I'm sure everything is fine and this will be a fun chance to get another look at her since the last time was in December. I'll do my best to get some pictures to share with everyone next week.
